Women’s Film Competition

Come be a part of a female creative community. You have the opportunity to participate in the second annual Women’s Film Competition at Burke Community Church. This summer, July 18th-20th, your team will be able to film, edit, and complete a mini movie!

Regardless of your skill level we want you to join us in our onsite state of the art studio. Any camera will work, even your handy iPhone! Male actors are welcome, but we ask that no pets be brought onto campus. All behind-the-camera work is reserved for women only. Some of these jobs include directing, producing, screenwriting, lighting, film editing, make up, wardrobe, and so much more! We will provide extras for any teams who need a few more people.

There will be a mandatory orientation meeting on July 8th at 7pm that will outline all the details and parameters for your masterpiece. A few details will be reserved for July 18th, such as the running time of your movie, required props, and a few other details to make this event fun and fair. Don’t miss this event! The first 20 teams that register will be allowed to compete. There are no size restrictions on teams. Whether you are flying solo or have a whole group, we welcome you!

Help is wanted!  We will need volunteers for the competition weekend and premiere. If you want to participate but not create, or you need volunteer hours, please reach out! All help is greatly appreciated.
