Cash For Corn

In Malawi and neighboring African countries, “gogo” is the local word for grandmother or grandfather.

The AIDS pandemic has had a devastating impact across Africa, leaving many grandparents to raise their orphaned grandchildren. Gogo Grandmothers comes alongside these grandparents in Malawi, providing seed and fertilizer for maize (corn) crops that can provide food for their families for an entire year.

Through Cash for Corn, all funds raised will help provide the seed and critical fertilizer needed to ensure a successful harvest in the coming growing season. It’s a simple way for us to participate in what God is doing as He provides food and hope for a gogo and her orphaned grandchildren.

Cash for Corn bottles will be available in the lobby on September 13 and 20 at the Outward Ministries Station. Pick up a bottle and fill it with cash, checks, or change, then return it to the lobby on September 27 or October 4. Checks should be made payable to “Gogo Grandmothers.”
