How will God grow you this year?

In 2026 our church will focus on discipleship—growing in our relationship with Jesus Christ—through a shared commitment to 12 Spiritual Practices. These practices are our church’s own expression of the spiritual disciplines modeled by Jesus, such as prayer, solitude, generosity, worship, confession, and compassion. As we practice these together, it’s important to remember that the practices are the means, not the goal. Our ultimate aim is deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. As Philippians 3:8 reminds us, “I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord.”

As a Burke Community Church family, let us grow in Jesus Christ in 2026 by engaging these spiritual practices together.

Devotional (Jan-Mar)

To help you personalize this spiritual growth journey we are providing a weekly devotional that our staff have put together that includes a verse to reflect on, a key concept to consider, and questions to help you take next steps. The devotional is designed to be a launchpad for taking your personal devotion and conversation with others deeper. We are excited to see where God takes you as you lean into these weekly devotions and the 12 Spiritual Practices we are leaning into this year.

Life Group Curriculum (Jan-Mar)

To help Life Groups engage in the 12 Spiritual Practices this year, we are providing a basic curriculum for groups to use. This curriculum provides spaces for group leaders to form the content to the structure of your group and build upon it as desired. We hope that your group will engage with the materials and join us on this journey of spiritual growth.
