Rwanda 2027 Short-Term Mission Trip
Join us on a life-changing adventure!
WHO: This Burke team will engage with our partner, Africa New Life through various ministries such as VBS and evangelism outreach in local communities. Anyone who has a heart to serve and a desire to see how God has moved over the past 25 years in Rwanda is encouraged to apply for this trip.
WHERE: Kigali, Rwanda. Our team will stay in a guest house operated by our partnering organization, Africa New Life.
WHY: To serve and support the staff of Africa New Life in their efforts to transform the lives of over 11,000 children and families. The team will also have the opportunity to learn about Rwanda’s history, ongoing reconciliation efforts, and rich culture.
COST OF TRIP: $4,200.00 Team members are expected to fundraise for the trip. Guidance is provided for fundraising. This price covers all airfare, ground transportation, partial medical & emergency insurance, lodging and meals. A refundable deposit (up to a certain date) of $300 is required after the first team meeting. Funds raised go towards trip expenses. Any funds raised over the required amount go directly to Africa New Life as a donation.
WHAT TO EXPECT ON YOUR TRIP: Each trip’s schedule is tailored to the team composition and the specific needs of the ministry in Rwanda at the time. Africa New Life aims to harness each team’s unique gifts, heart, and passion. The focus and activities of the trip will be shaped by the dynamics of the Burke team, ensuring a meaningful and impactful experience for everyone involved.
OTHER ACTIVITIES THAT MOST TEAMS WILL PARTICIPATE IN INCLUDE:
- Attending church at one of the Africa New Life Communities
- Engaging with a specific ministry and/or community
- Work with the Dream Kids Program
- Visiting the Women’s Vocational Training Center
- Experience a day in the life of a Rwandan, engaging with the local community
