West Virginia 2027 family Mission Trip
Join us on a life-changing adventure!
WHO: Burke Community Church has served in West Virginia for decades, and this trip continues that legacy by bringing together kids (ages 6+), parents, and grandparents to serve the communities of Beverly and Elkins.
WHAT: Team members will serve in a variety of ministry roles throughout the week, including Sports Camp, Arts Camp, construction projects, and community outreach opportunities such as meeting local residents, visiting elderly homes, and responding to practical needs. Children through 8th grade participate in Sports Camp or Arts Camp, while high school students and adults primarily serve as volunteers and ministry leaders. Each day also includes team worship, devotionals, debriefs, and time to enjoy the beauty of the Appalachian Mountains together.
WHERE: Beverly, West Virginia. The team will stay at Camp Pioneer, a 4-H camp with bunkhouse lodging, dining facilities, recreation areas, and space for team worship and fellowship.
WHY: We partner with The Refinery Church, Beverly Elementary School, and other local ministries to demonstrate the love of Christ through practical service and meaningful relationships while encouraging a growing community of believers and pointing people to Jesus.
LODGING: Camp Pioneer features separate boys’ and girls’ bunkhouses with electricity, hot water, bathrooms, showers, and a full dining hall. The entire camp is reserved for our team, providing space for fellowship, recreation, and rest throughout the week.
SAMPLE DAILY SCHEDULE: Monday through Thursday includes breakfast, ministry assignments throughout the day, free time in the afternoon, dinner, team devotions, and evening debriefs. Friday wraps up with ministry activities, cleanup, prayer, and departure for home.
COST: $75 per person
TRIP SIZE: Approximately 50 participants.
