Alliance Care Now is a philanthropic, not-for-profit organization with one mission: to improve the lives of vulnerable children in Ethiopia through advocacy, education, and financial support for agencies and individuals working on the ground. An estimated 5 million children are living in vulnerable situations due to poverty, HIV, chronic illness, and a lack of women’s empowerment programs. Many live on the streets, in orphanages, or are at risk of trafficking and child labor.

Following Ethiopia’s ban on international adoption, hundreds of private orphanages were forced to close due to a loss of funding. Many children were left on the streets or transferred to already overcrowded government orphanages, making it difficult to meet their basic physical and emotional needs. Alliance Care Now supports organizations and individuals working to care for these vulnerable children and provide lasting solutions.
