Come be a part of a community of female creatives. You have the opportunity to participate in the first ever Burke Community Church’s film competition 2024. This summer, August 2-4, you will be challenged to film, edit and complete a mini movie.

Regardless of your skill level we want you to join us in our brand new, onsite, state of the art studio. Any camera will work, even your handy iPhone! Male actors are welcome but we ask that no pets be brought onto campus. All behind the camera work is reserved for women only. Some of these jobs include, directing, producing, screenwriting, lighting, film editing, make up, wardrobe and so much more! We will provide extras for any teams who need a few more people.

There will be a mandatory orientation meeting on July 22^nd at 7pm that will outline all the details and parameters for your masterpiece. A few details will be reserved for August 2^nd, such as the running time of your movie, required props and a few other key details to make this event fun and fair.

Don’t miss this event! The first 24 teams to register will be allowed to compete. There are no size restrictions on teams so whether you are flying solo or have a whole group, we welcome you! Additionally, if you sign up by May 31 the cost is $40 per team, increasing to $60 on June 30^th and finally $80 per team on July 15^th. We will need volunteers for the weekend so if you want to participate but not create, please reach out.
